Christian Monge, 26, pleaded guilty this week to voluntary manslaughter while armed in connection to the brutal stabbing of 30-year-old Northwest DC resident Brittanie Clark in the Fort Totten neighborhood in August 2021.
According to the plea, Monge admitted that his girlfriend accused Clark of inquiring about him in a romantic way, prompting her to attack the mother of three in front of bystanders and several children.
When the two women were done fighting, Monge then stabbed Clark 13 times in front of two children, including her daughter, prosecutors said.
The incident was reported in the 5000 block of 1st Street NW in DC.
Monge is scheduled to be sentenced on Monday, Nov. 20.
